Link to the pre-sale

Having arisen from an idea of stencil artist Raf Urban as a desire for cultural sharing between Artists and the confined population, the 1st Festival of Confined Urban Art was promoted by Alessandra and Mouarf from Notorious who invited their network of Artists.

A tremendous momentum of solidarity on the part of the Artists first, but also on the part of the buyers, who participated from all over France to support the project and the French caregivers in this historic moment.

This project started on March 26th, 2020 and lasted 55 days. 55 days during which Alessandra and Mouarf put 6 works a day online which they received from their Artists’ network. An unprecedented solidarity intervention as the public has been so much receptive and responsive. The works were sold in a few seconds at each upload, and this sale’s outcome was transferred directly on the APHP (Paris Hospitals) website.

208 participating artists. 273 works created. 87,715 euros collected for hospitals. Thus making this project’s kitty ranking second in terms of donations out of the 96 kitties created.

The book CONFINEMENT, edited by sandrot-éditions, tells the story of 200 participating Artists and also includes testimonials from caregivers, as well as from Martin Hirsch, director of the APHP, and buyers who participated in the project.

The preface is signed by the stencil artist C215.

276 A4-size pages.

Below some of the works presented in the book.
